Friendly and professional Settlement Coordinators can assist you with:

  • Finding accommodation in your favorite neighborhood.

  • Getting informed about the available transportation systems and apply for a driver’s license in Canada.

  • Understanding better the educational system for yourself and your children.

  • Learning about available recreation centers, libraries, governmental offices etc.

  • Applying for OHIP, Child Tax
    benefits and Child Care Subsidies.

  • Obtaining required information on Canada’s immigration system, including renewing Permanent Resident cards and and applying for Canadian citizenship.

Group Information Sessions

Group information sessions organized by Giving hearts will provide eligible customers with such information as:

  • Ways to secure an accommodation in your neighborhood.

  • How to use the available in your city transportation system and how to apply for a driver’s license in Ontario.

  • How Canadian education system works.

  • Availability of libraries, community centers and recreational facilities in your neighborhood.

  • How to apply for OHIP, Child Tax benefits and Child Care Subsidies.

  • Information on immigration system in Canada and how to renew Permanent Resident cards and apply for Canadian citizenship for youreself and your family members.

Employment Skills Enhancement Program

Employment Skills Enhancement Program offered by Giving Hearts offers group information sessions together with in-person services to provide eligible newcomers to Canada with the knowledge and skills related to the Canadian work culture and environment to enable them with being able to better prepare themselves to enter and succeed in the Canadian labour market.

We offer group as well as one-to-one services and workshops to improve the newcomers’ employment skills and capabilities. 

Connect with Your Community Program

Connect with Your Community Program provides the newcomers with information on many community programs for immigrants, refugees & their families and involves participation of Canadian volunteers risiding in the same community. Participating in the program provides abilities for newcomers to learn more about their community and establish fruitful relationships with local Canadian community members, practice English speaking and listening skills, explore opportunities and community activities. We also encourage communities, organizations and employers to get involved and meet the newcomers by participating in our programs.

Comissioner Services

For our eligible customers, we offer complimentary Commissioner of Oath services, which may be required in order for lots of newcomers to prove their both educational and professional experience credentials. Commissioner of Oaths Services are available by appointment to take affidavits, declarations, oaths, attest/certify true copies of original documents.

Walk-In Clinic for Immigraiton and Tenancy Matters:

For our eligible customers we also offer once a week a free legal clinic to assist our coustomers with various immigration any tenancy issues that they may run into while renting a property. We collaborate with varius local legal professionals and law firms who choose donate their time to provide pro bono services through the clinic. We offer both group and individual informational sessions, seminars and webminars.
